Magazine publishers in the US are on the move online is the list released yesterday in the US by Magazine Publishers of America is anything to go by. While they would deny it, magazine publishers in the US are playing catch-up with newspaper publishers.
Newsagents can either sit and watch magazine publishers drive growth of and ultimate migration to their online models or they (we) can decide to become a player and leverage our community connection. Trouble is, if we decided to leverage we should bhave started a couple of years ago.
The full US MPA list is excellent motivation for newsagents to actively discuss this.
