To catch a thief

thief.JPGI’d love to hear from anyone who recognises this chap.  The video footage shows that he left without paying for a boxed pen.  I’d like to get in touch, show him the video footage and see how he would like to settle the account.

Every time this happens we learn some more about how people who steal from retail businesses operate.

What response would you be likely to get if you were to post that same pic and a differently worded request on your window ?
I’ve done it with good results, all be it, several years ago. Praps not ‘politically correct’ these days, but if necessary, I would probably do it again.
Strong chance one of your locals knows the chap.

Lance apparently it’s not politically correct to do anything to try and catch a thief. I have received several emails from people saying that I have no right to post this photo publicly. Yeah, I understand that - he can steal from me and I can’t post the evidence I have of the theft. What a wonderful world…

Leaving aside political niceties, would there be any legal repercussions to posting the photo in your window with wording like “This month’s Lucky Shopper! Contact Mark within!”
