Vic. newsagent anger over Bill Express

The phones have run hot today following the announcement of a newsagent only meeting in Melbourne this Thursday, June 19, to discuss Bill Express. The most common feedback is - at last newsagents are doing something. Some newsagents who cannot make the meeting are pledging an amount they are happy to contribute to independent legal representation.

Good work on organising the meeting. I find that the information provided was very valuable. I was amazed by the number of newsagents attended and affected by Bill Express.

As newsagent, I will write to ACCC that I was MISLED into signing the contract. I was assured that I would not be out of pocket. I urge other newsagents to take the same action. I am glad that there is a class action against Bill Express. Can not wait for the outcome.

Lately, I also find that the back up service of Bill Express has dropped. The system breaks down often. Sometimes, I do not bother ringing. I gave them a piece of my mind and their level two technician took away my EFTPOS function.

I am still waiting for someone to fix my faulty machine!!!!!!!
