Supanews launches online newsagency

Supanews, the full-franchise newsagency group, has launched an online newsagency at supanews.com. The very slick site, with the tag line – Australia’s online newsagency –  offers magazine subscriptions, stationery and lottery products – all available for online purchase.

This is the best looking newsagency website I’ve seen. Newsagents with online stores will want to check out this new competition. Supanews franchises probably have some questions, I can think of several.

That’s certainly a very attractive site. Supanews has had a pretty big online book presence on EBay for a while now so it seemed logial them would expand to other areas.

I think I remeber reading something though that inferred that their online (at least for the books and the like on Ebay) was wholely seperate to their bricks and mortar entity.

It’s run by a company called Supanews Limited. This company is registered in Honk Kong. It’s the same company connected with their shopper competition last week.

If I was a Supanews franchisee I’d see disclosure as to the beneficial owners of Supanews Limited.
