Yours issue 2 sales slow

magsyoursOur sales of issue #2 of Yours magazine were down 30% on issue one yet we promoted the title the sale. Bauer increased our supply of issue #2 significantly so we had plenty of returns. Despite having sales data from the last two weeks, Bauer kept issue #3 supply at the same level as issue #2. We continue to support Yours with placement in two high-profile locations. If sales don;t lift we will scale space allocation for future issues back to one pocket. The question then will be – with Aussie weeklies or English weeklies as it’s the latter location that works better for us.

It would seem that their system doesnt allow changes less than 1 month out. Remarkable really when they can adjust levels and send additional issues out after only 1 days sales have been returned thru xchangeIT.
our own sales started slowly but appear to be getting a few regulars. Only a fraction of NI and WW but building. i have given away a couple to regulars to try and get it moving. little assistance from the publishers tho and i see the big display unit across the way in Coles. The equality of the distributors is a wonderful thing to behold. Why am i reducing my magazines display area???? Sorry getting off track again.

We sold 26 of 28 of the first issue and 22 of 29 of the second so are happy so far. If it remains at above 20 it will be a good title for us like Peoples Friend

Sold our allocation of 60 (with 2 subs) by late Saturday.
Promoting home delivery to retain some ongoing sales.
Doubled this week for subs and our shop, this may be too many but rather have more than run out earlier.
Will probably need 4 or 5 weeks to get supply right.

Oops that was Saturday Paper not Yours!

Yours sales a bit less exciting – 25 of issue 1 but half that for issue 2.
Will try it with English weeklies.

Might also go nicely next to Thats Life & Take 5 as a more serious read for that demographic.
