Nanny state threatens Loom Bands sales

Fairfax reports today NSW schools are banning Loom Bands. Instead, the schools should consider congratulating kids for making something rather than watching TV or playing on their phone or tablet device.

This is terrific news for retailers in NSW that are selling Loom Bands! Tell a kid that a school has banned something and they will all want them….!

And it has always been so.

    Swap cards.
    YoYos.
    Long pencil cases.
    Short skirts.
    Long shorts.
    Pet rocks.
    Yugio.

Two weeks of school holidays, 2 weeks where I hope to sell a shedload of loom bands that the schools can then confiscate so there will be replacement sales.
