Social media ‘campaign’ targets Woolworths & News Corp

Facebook and Twitter have lit up over the last couple of days with reports of Woolworths outlets promoting only News Corp. titles.  I’ve not seen any evidence of this in newsagencies or Woolworths outlets. I checked a Woolworths in Sydney tonight and they had Fairfax and News Corp newspapers next to each other.

Since Woolworths – Service Station and Supermarket – became direct drop ‘sub-agents’ (last 7 years) we have not delivered a Fairfax product to them. Their design does not include (allow) Fairfax product. As sub-agents of ours we used to deliver Fairfax product to them.
