Quality Classic Cookies cookbook too cheap?

magscookiespricewhatThe AWW Classic Cookies cookbook from Bauer feels too cheap at $5.00. It’s a good quality product that feels like it could sell at two or three times the price. It’s the type of cookbook that could sell as a gift.

Am I missing something in thinking it’s too cheap? What do you think?

I sent it back. No space and to many cookbooks. The quality was exceptional and the price amazing. I suspect it was very old stock that they were trying to get rid of and decided to give it to the good old newsagents and use their cashflo. The return date was very lengthy too as I recall. sorry no space. If they had asked I would have said “dont send.”

It’s not $5, it’s only $5 if you purchase AWW Cakes Cookbook for $14.95.

So what does this do for newsagents, doesn’t make us lots of money it just causes annoyance at having to say ‘no you can’t buy it for $5 without thae Cake Book’.

Jenny they have no mechanism for checking this. The price in the XchangeIT file is $5.00.

It is supposed to be $5.00 ONLY when sold in conjunction with AWW Cakes and Slices. Our merchandiser made us aware of this and created a display otherwise we would not have known. Apparently it is for sale at $19 or so elsewhere. Sounds like a good promotion handled poorly.

Hmmm, some of ours may miss the return dated and wind up on sale for $14.95.

We never even got AWW Cakes and Slices. We did get the Cookies book which arrived at $5 so thats what it is.

It works well here with a 14.95 AWW cookbook sold with it, They fly off the shelves.

We can sell it for $5 on its own and make a whole $1.25, but if I choose to sell it on its own it will be $14.95 or $19.95.
$5 is like giving it away!

No POS or correspondence on the pairing of this issue so it sells on its own for $5. Merchandiser has been and gone and nothing was said or done.

Have had this book sitting to one side for over a week thinking that it was an error in price and would be notified any minute that there is a price increase. The book is listed on network on line in there product list for $34.95 retail! No instructions on how to sell this one.
