Nic & Rocco reissue of damaged stock by Bauer wastes newsagent time and money

magssweetsensatAlmost a year ago, Bauer Media issued Nic & Rocco Sweet Sensations. I blogged about it at the time. Today, they sent it out again. This time it’s stock that has been around the block. Many copies are damaged.

What a waste of time and money! What an appalling and unfair treatment of newsagents. I consider it to be unethical.

There should be no reissue of any title without newsagent permission. Bauer demands we pay them on time yet they do not provide reasonable levers with which to control our level of indebtedness.

Shame on those at Bauer who facilitated this abuse of newsagents.

I’m early returning Nic & Rocco Sweet Sensations.

My were gone as soon as I saw it. Any title that has r or rd or redist after the title gets sent back before it hits the truck delivering it. They normally come with other newsagency labels still on them or the marks where the label was plus the marks of 6 months transit! This title was quite insulting as we didn’t sell any of it the first time it came out as it was a grade A flop!

    Attn Network Services/Bauer.
Sold one Nic & Rocco of 9 last year. So sent back 12 today. I have XchangeIt and had it a year ago. I get “passes” from XchangeIt every time, yet the data is not used to determine what stock you send me. Why?

But you will pay for it before you get the credit unless you sent your return in yesterday. Just a cash grab really. Why would you pick the last day of the month

Wally it is appalling behaviour. I wonder if newsagents will punish Bauer as a result.

With all the extra Christmas editions on the shelf who has room for re-issued old stock?

We kept the 2 best copies and returned the other 2 we received, since Nick and Rocco are in SA. Saw there was only 1 left on the shelf today so did a check on sales only to find the other copy has been stolen!
Unbelievable. (sadly it’s not anymore, theft is increasing)
