Did you receive the reissue of The Ashes magazine? This old title has had its day and reissuing to newsagents as happened this week is a space and money grab.
Had we been asked I suspect many newsagents would have said no thanks, been there, done that.
This is a perfect example of how magazine distributors make newsagents less competitive than supermarkets.
Because they want our money for a mag that never sold in 2013. We received only 2 copies this time which both looked like they had been thrown around the warehouse for 12 months. Returned straight away.
Why do we pay for their stuff ups.
I have an idea !! When doing your magazine returns select a box that will take your full returns plus a significant amount of your office rubbish,lunch wrappers, old bottles,vegie peelings,toe nail clippings whatever!! with an accompanying note that reads “please recycle my crap and I will do the same with yours”.Lets see how they like it
