Newsagents reselling old bagged magazines?

I heard of a newsagent who takes out the ‘free’ magazines bagged with others and sells them in a value pack of their own. Products which ought to be trashed, based on the agreement with the supplier or returned if not sold, is being offered by the newsagent for 100% profit. This behaviour impacts on the reputation of all newsagents.

I shake my head sometimes…

At a local shopping centre the newsagent has a bin outside selling these magazines for $2 and Woolworths next door has a box on the service desk with the same “bonus” magazines that you can have for a gold coin donation to the children’s hospital they support.

We saw this outside a store in Tasmania recently. Looked cheap and doesn’t do the industry nor the store any favours.
