Excellent comms on Dr Seuss promotion

Click here to see the letter to newsagents from News Corp’s Herald and Weekly Times re the upcoming Dr Seuss promotion supporting the Herald Sun and the Geelong Advertiser. I am sharing it here for newsagents in other states to see another example of professional communication sent our early enough for proper preparation for what loos to be a terrific promotion.

Just as a follow up to my previous post on Newscorp Adelaide, it is great to see the Victorian version starts with “Dear Agent” and ends with “Thank you for your support.”

The SA version starts “Please find attached our next national promotion commencing blaa blaa “.
The attachment then starts with OVERVIEW, then there is then lots of Red ink over the next couple of pages telling what we all can and can’t do and what we can win if we are good. (That won’t be us.)
No thank you, have a good promotion or sorry for inconveniencing you over the busy period of Valentines.
The broom needs to go through the whole closet here and get rid of the dinosaurs.

By the way our rep is a great bloke who does a top job in smoothing the waters, he deserves better leadership above him.
