The ANZAC and related magazines in the newsagency

I used Facebook over the weekend to talk about two fascinating magazines in the newsagency right now that speak to thoughts around what we think of at this time of the year. Here are the two posts I did FYI:

We promoted these and other related mags over the last 2 weeks to great success. Sadly there were very few mag covers covering Shakespeare 400 yrs to promote as well this week. I am always on the lookout for themes to promote, a twenty dollar magazine reaches a different audience than a sixty dollar book at the bookshop nearby.

H, great engagement. I agree re the Shakespeare 400th – surprised my no coverage in print at all yet excellent coverage on radio.

Mark, Foxtel Arts is currently running a months worth of televised plays from The Globe Theatre, London, sensational viewing. I heard a quote that one in ten of our colloquial phrases in the English language can be traced to Shakespeare.
Currently moving to promo Mother’s Day, front counter chat is “get your cards for MD now, before they are all picked over next week”. It’s fun how a bit of conversation can be overheard by other customers who then take an interest.
