This is good news. I have tried to explain to so many people who tell me they have used lottoland that they are not actually buying a ticket in a lotto draw but I actually dont believe me. I might even print this out and display it.

Clearly, their TV adds give the wrong, incorrect impression to most viewers.

I don’t think this is about their TVCs. It is about their use of Tatts IP. The TVCs, in my opinion, continue to target newsagents, and nothing is being done to push back against that.

Point taken about Tatts IP because most customers initially think it is one and the same organisation. They come to us and ask about Lottoland tickets and I have not come across one who understands that it is NOT a lottery ticket, but instead a bet with a bookie organisation. So their adds clearly don’t attempt to explain the real “product” being offered.

I understand the frustration Bruce. From a customer perspective it does not matter siren the outcome is the same. In fact, often times it is better. Spend the same or a bit less and you can win the same.

Tight now Lottoland is beating Tatts at marketing.

I noted last night that their TV adds now contain text that state that you are placing a bet, not buying a ticket.
