Woman’s Day make over

It is good to see Woman’s Day get a make over – out today.    The $4.5M TV campaign should generate considerable interest.  We are leveraging this with strategic placement of the title in two locations for the next two days.  But that is about it since ACP has not provided any special collateral with which to promote the make over.

When New Idea did the same earlier this year we saw a lift.  That was in part due to excellent collateral designed to drive impulse purchases.

NOT FREAKIN HAPPY!! For SIX weeks we have put up with a delivery driver from the magazine companies that is obviously blind or illiterate or both.

We’ve had problems from just not receiving magazines to not recieving bulks to receiving someone elses magazines to having our magazines tossed from the back of the truck so that they are damaged by the time we get them so we can’t sell them anyway.

Complaint after complaint has gone into the delivery company and today, after I received half of another newsagents magazines and they received mine, I get told “Oh, he’s on his way out but there is no one to replace him yet”

So I just have to put up with not receiving my magazines? Maybe I should forget to pay my bill cause my bank teller left and there is no one to replace them yet?!?!?!

To make it worse I call NDC to ask them to escalate it and get told “Oh I am sorry, they are subcontractors so we can only put your complaint in writing”

    AM SOOOOOOO FRUSTRATED!!

Our driver didn’t leave us with any Woman’s Day on monday. We rang Followmont and was told that there were no extras and report it to Network. We reported it to Network hoping for replacement stock on Wednesday – no replacement Wednesday. No Woman’s Day all week – no sales. Our Woman’s Day were obviously delivered to another newsagency that decided it would be better for them to put the Woman’s Day on their shelves rather than ring us to come & collect them. What REALLY p….. me off is that someone within our industry that understands the full impact this means with loss of sales to our business and future allocations of Woman’s Day from Network with zero sales against us.

    Followmont is king.
NDC/Gotch have no teeth in dealing with these clowns.
