Tatts online sales up

A Research Note  just published by Credit Suisse reports excellent growth in online lottery sales for Tatts:

Online sales, which attract no agent commission, grew to 9.2% of total lottery sales

The report also forecasts an increase to retail commissions to reach a uniform national standard and reinforces the importance of the retail network to Tatts.

I’ve included a link here to the report with permission of Credit Suisse.

Todays AFR reports full speed ahead into petrol & Convenience stores after the Victorian trial did not affect Newsagents. Some interesting graphs on swings to online from retail.
Some serious thinking with a refit due.

Richard we are in interesting times when it comes to Tatts and newsagents. The noises from tatts about other outlets needs to be considered in newsagent business plans.

As for the Tatts claim that the Coles trial has not affected sales, I’d want to see the data.

It would not be possible to say that it did not affect newsagents but if they keep saying it, it will become “fact”

I agree Wally. Newsagency nearby ought to look at their data and go to the state government if it contradicts the Tatts position.
