I have heard from several newsagents about what they say are major changes in distribution arrangements for newspapers in Townsville coming into effect soon. If you know anything about this please share it hear as newsagents outside the area are not aware.
I am sure what ever it is it would be in the newsagents favour ……
I assume it would be effecting all points out of Townsville and we have not heard anything.
The timing I have been told about kicks in in January 2016. This is in line with the News Corp. contract moves nationally for 2016 except that Townsville is the first area I have heard about the termination move.
I have ‘heard’ that a contractor from Brisbane is taking over Townsville. Robert Rigby from News Ltd at Murrarie has been transferred to Townsville (still not far enough away) and this is his baby. The dealings I have had with Robert over the years does not paint a pretty picture to this being a successful venture.
So does this mean all Townsville agents now become subagents ?
Has T2020 risen from the grave or is this just for Townsville (do they have distribution problems in that area)?
