Guardian Weekly shrinking

Editors Weblog reports that Guardian Weekly, sold here, is shrinking from tabloid to half berliner format. While not a big deal if there are many size changes newsagents will need to look at fixtures as they are made for common formats.

This new format is GHASTLY and I am very disappointed that a paper like the Guardian/THE Guardian Weekly should copy tabloids. The new format being neither A3, nor A4, makes it difficult to fit in A4 folders or bags for people who read the GW on public transport, as I do. Also, of course, the content has SHRUNK, though not the price. As an example, the articles on p 20 of Fri 4 May is in larger font than usual; is this going to become a standard thing, too?
If the idea is to save money and paper, then please reduce the number or size of graphics/pictures and font and reduce this terrible new size to A4 including more pages instead.
    Thank you!
