We’re actively promoting the Felicity Wishes partworks launched last week with a bold window display.

We like partworks because partworks customersr are among the most efficient in our newsagency – always buying multiple items.

    Mark,

We agree, Felicity Wishes is not moving as well as Yu Gi Oh! though, GG are on a winner with that one.

We see it this way, Partworks allow the customer to get an investment in my business and my staff, they become regulars, they are known to us and they enjoy the experience. Some of them are enrolled in two, three or even four collections.

We have them on our ‘power spinner’ in coporate red, it stands out and customers are drawn to it.

    Cheers

After much thought, I chose to early return these new partworks, i went back and looked at the amount of time wasted chasing backorders, disgruntled customers – threats of refunds for previous partworks, adjusting standing orders perfectly to suit customer orders only to have it reduced in a couple of weeks due to lack of stock, then waiting weeks/months for replacement stock and for standing order to be readjusted back up.
Im only a small shop and welcome the business, but at what cost.
until I see written commitment to adequate stock levels not “the publsiher is endevouring to get more stock” then i will treat all new partworks the same way – returned in the hope that they will be redistrubuted to agents to cover their back orders so that they will keep their customers happy and dont have to go through the same crap as i have done with almost every partwork series released so far.
