The things customers steal

stolen_top.JPGSome low-life stole the top from the the soft toy on the right. How pathetic is that?

It’s no wonder newsagents and other retailers become bitter about browsers sometimes. Behavior like this – stealing a top off a soft toy – is appalling. It is difficult to stop.

Oh well, we’ll offer the naked soft toy for a discount and if that fails it will go to a local charity for their op shop.

I was horrified to hear that people go into supermarkets and open boxes of breakfast cereal to find a plastic toy to complete a set, or a particular promotional item. “Browsing” on the fruit stall was bad enough, food picked off the shelf and consumed while walking around the shop really pushed the mark, but this habit renders the goods unsaleable for the joy of a 2c piece of plastic. One can only hope it has lead paint or GHB and their pleasure in their goods will be very shortlived.

Faced with that level of selfishness and utterly disgusting and unhygienic behaviour, how can one expect any level of parental control or discipline for the next generation.
