Advice on post Bill Express ANZ terminals

I am grateful to the Queensland Newsagents Federation for permitting me to post here information they sent to their members last week about the ANZ ftpost serminals sent out following the collapse of Bill Express. This is important and timely advice for newsagents:

ANZ Eftpos Terminals

If any newsagent wishes to return the ANZ Eftpos Terminals which were sent out shortly after 8th July (Bill Express’ last day), please make sure you do so prior to Wednesday 8th October (THIS WEDNESDAY)

Contact ANZ Merchant Contact Centre – 1800 039 025 prior to the end of the (3) three month ‘rent free’ period to advise you wish to return the Eftpos terminal.

You will then be required to complete and return to ANZ a ‘Closure Request Form’, authorising closure of the facility and the terminal will be collected. (There should have been one in the box you received the terminal in)

Your account will need to remain active for 30 days to finalise any transactions and for processing the final merchant facility statement.

As far as I am aware, the QNF is the only association providing this level of up to date advice on Bill Express related matters.

    G’day
Someone is still rattling around the office. Some halfwit sent me a voting form for the upcoming election to be held by the irrelevant money-grabbing circus.

Along with liberal and frequent doses of satisfying abuse, I have given them repeated instructions to remove me from their mailing/fax/e-mail lists since I resigned my membership, and successfully requested a refund of my membership fees.

Hopefully the bitch & its pup are gone too.

The ANF has been hoping the Bill Express issue goes away. That’s why nothing has been said.

If they are handing out voting forms in preparation for the AGM it would be wise to vote out the dead wood like the current chairman and some of the other duds.

I think you will find the organisation fading. Last time I checked they had not registered a current constitution with ASIC. Also, Directors are listed with their commercial entity who are not directors.

Half the Director positions are up for election. Is anyone with an agenda for change/reform running or are people only going to be able to vote for the ‘dead wood’?

I still have a carton of thermal receipt rolls ordered from Bill Express just before it collapsed. Could anyone please tell me what to do with these rolls as they have “Bill Express” printed on the back?

Suzie, either burn them or store them for sale on eBay in 50 years time. Mark
