Kicking the Sherrin

age_oct25.JPGThe folks at The Age have bravely stuck an ad for Tourism Tasmania over the top of a Sherrin football on the front page of today’s newspaper. On some copies it partly obscures a headline about Adam Gilchrist. It is a pity this otherwise good newspaper sells itself out.

Mark every time I read your blog I always see these little notcies about “Once again the Age covers their headlines” or something along those lines. Each time I go Yeah…why would they do that.

Well believe it or not, yesterday we had a customer call up saying she had not recieved a little sticker on the front of her age and if we would be able to keep a spare one for her…

    *stares blankly*

    Yeah…go figure

we had a phonecall on Sat morning too asking where her post-it-note was on her Sydney Morning Herald.
we could not believe what we were hearing…..
Then yesterday another woman came in asking the same thing. It turns out there is a competition on winning a trip to Tasmania and they need the post-it-note.

Unfortunately our supply of newspapers on Sat had no stickers at all, also they were very late in supplying us only at 8am, yep for home deliveries start!!!
The home delivery customers were not impressed at all and we had to cope abuse!!!!

Bario, the same thing happened to me on Saturday. An irrate customer thinking I’d nicked them to enter the competition. They simply hadn’t arrived from my agent with the post-it sticker.

Now I have to chase it up because he really wants to enter. He only wanted the SMH for the sticker!!! ARRGGH!!!
