Promoting Wartime magazine

wartime.JPGWe are promoting the latest issue of Wartime the official magazine of the Australian War Memorial next to our newspapers this week.  With Anzac Day so close we figured this high-traffic placement was appropriate – especially to our demographic at Forest Hill.  History magazines are popular for us.

Promoting Wartime reinforces our point of difference in magazine range – you won’t see this title in a convenience store, petrol outlet or a supermarket.

Not there or my Newsagency and others I saw yesterday.

It seems to not have been distributed to SEQLD.

Distribution/Allocation is the biggest problem that Newsagents face as I see it. If publishers invested in ironing out the creases, they’d reap rewards.

To trade or not to trade? ANZAC Day
We are in a dilemma as to weather or not to open before 10.00am. Personally, I wouldn’t open until 12.00, my family has a strong anzac tradition. In a small country town, people seem to be relying on me to be open at my regular time of 8.00am.
Our country football starts on Anzac day, believe it or not, probably my biggest worry is if their is a backlash later on. My partners theory is that everyone expects their paper everyday of the year with deliveries, so why should anyone have the right to dictate to us on any other given day. Need to make up my mind by end of today for paper supplies. Oh what to do

Tammy, I don’t have your answer.

I put the couple of old photos up of my family that were in the Lighthorse with some aussie flags and my customer’s thought it was good.

It showed I show respect but still had a job to do.
