Watching the sunset

perth_april29.JPGI am in Perth tonight and was fortunate to witness a glorious sunset.  The sky rolled through grey, pink, red, orange and, finally, black.

Sunsets for me are like smelling roses can be for others.  Outside our four walls, life goes on.

I agree. Sunsets are the epitomy of beauty They are the relese of frustration and appreciation of all beauty with the promise of yet another day to come.

    Oh, how lucky are we!
We get to see the sun rise over the sea before we open the shop every day, depending on the season.
A nice interlude between finishing the paper run and opening the shop.

Y&G I have seen some perfectly located newsagencies in QLD, TAS and SA – from the shop front they look out on the water. How would that be?

    How indeed?
We’re one of the lucky ones – ours has a small shaded picnic area off to the side which looks out to the beach which is only 50m away! So while the shopfront doesn’t look out to water, our coffee-drinking area does.

To our shame, the newsagency was secondary – the location and ambience of the property was what sold us ahead of the smallness/manageability of the business.
    We are most fortunate!
