Quitting Crayola products

fhn_crayola.JPGAfter careful consideration, we have decided to quit the Crayola range after two years of trying to make what we need to justify the capital and labour investment.  The decision is in part due to challenges the company presents to newsagents who want to carry a broad Crayola range.

If I could buy direct and on competitive terms I’d reconsider since I could then more effectively compete with the majors.

It’s a great shame, considering the brand name, especially in the school market.

I would amagine alot of other newsagencies are in the same boat. Crayola, and others, need to get fair dinkum and give us access to their full compliment of product; we can give that extra service where others can’t.

I agreen Vaughan, it is a great shame. We have the perfect demographic for the rane and it sell very well. But the difficuly we have in merchandising is substancial.

it is a shame the so much of the crayola product is inaccessible by newsagents. Looking at the retail catalogue on the crayola websit I see many many great products that we could pitch – unfortunatly we can’t get access to most of them.

We are currently looking at cutting back our Crayola range. But i’m with Mark, if we could buy direct and on competative terms then it would be a different story.
