Newsagency suppliers help Lin family reopen newsagency

NANA, the NSW Newsagents Association of NSW & ACT, has thanked the newsagency industry suppliers who have worked together to help the Lin family reopen their newsagency following the tragic death or Min Lin, his wife and three other family members.  NANA has done a terrific job co-ordinating the suppliers in difficult circumstances.  I am speaking from personal experience of what they have done.  NANA’s work is an excellent example of what an industry association is about.  They have done this work without promoting it or seeking to use it as a membership drive.  Well done NANA.

    Mark,
Thank you for acknowledging the work and compassion that NANA has put into the unfortunate situation of Epping Newsagency. Itshows that you are objective in your thinking an admirable trait.

As an aside the newsagency in question was/is an adjioning area to my newsagency (era 1969-1981)Eastwood. A very large delivery then (still is by today’s standards. Epping and Eastwood were much the same.
It is one of the most tragic of circumstances I have encountered in this industry over forty years and it still is a tribute to the this industry that we call rally support in need.
Suppliers, individual newsagents and all participants, you have shown that we are respectful and resilient helpful and concerned. I dips me lid.

Police have arrested a man over the murders of five people in Sydney’s north nearly two years ago.

Just after 9am (AEST) on Thursday, a 47-year-old man was arrested by police at a home in North Epping, police said.

The Homicide Squad commander, Detective Superintendent Peter Cotter, said it was one of the largest single homicides in NSW history.

‘The investigators have never given up, and today is testimony to their dedication, and the culmination of two years of intense investigation,’ Supt Cotter said in a statement.
