Magazine distribution confusion

Network and Gotch advised that there would be magazine deliveries today.  I confirmed this with Gotch again yesterday.  In one of my newsagencies we received a bundle of OK! and in another we received a bundle of Who.  The communication from distributors has been poor.

I emailed Gotch yesterday when I ‘d checked their online invoice list and found that there was an irregular date on one of them.
And yes, they replied in a very timely fashion that there would be a special delivery of Who today.
NO such thing on Network’s online distribution list, however.

Either of them may or may not have advised earlier – at this time of year faxes, fliers and emails of changes etc are an inch thick, and I’d not blame anyone for missing a few!

We were notified that both Who and OK would be arriving today.

Although they were a little late, they both arrived.

Pity I can’t say the same about one of my drivers, who has been sick for 2 weeks at Xmas for the 2nd year in a row.

I was told we would get a regular Friday drop today and rostered appropriately for it.

Ah well, its now 12.30pm and we have been open for 6.5hrs and have no lotto on the what for us traditionally one of the ‘better’ days of the year. What hope do we have… Telstra say its not them and yet our EFTPOS is up, but the IGA is not… Looks like I will be reading up on the insurance.

    Cheers
