Trader TAG set to struggle to replace Trading Post

trader_tag.JPGTrader TAG is another wannabe replacement for the Trading Post.  At $1.00 a copy and being supplied through a distribution newsagent, the numbers don’t work for me.  Trading Post at least had a higher cover price and was supplied direct.  I can’t see Trader TAG selling what enough copies to cover the space it will take in our newspaper stand.  I expect we will say no thanks to this title unless the publisher aggressively promotes it and fixes the margin problem.

    I only sold about 10 trading post each week now i sell a local trader and i go through about 35 – 45 copies a fortnigt and it takes up about 1/4 of the space . So for me i am glad to see the trading post go , i still hav4e people chaseing it but they always tend to buy the new one or a mgazine the suits what they want to buy

    We have recieved our 2nd issue of TraderTag to our store and yet again we will have to increase our number, we have been seeling the product well and feel this shows the gap in the industry for print advertising…. the $1 cover charge is an intro offer and they assured me it would increase, I say GREAT!!!! we don’t have a publication like this and its worth our support guys….

    For a new paper the TraderTag is moving from our shelves, the $1 cover charge has been put there as an incentive to capture the new reader (higher retail margin has been given to comphensate for this) with no thanks to the first posting I hope their publishers achieve the set goals and provide us with another paper that the people come in to buy every edition… support.

    Thank you Trader Tag for your excellent publication !
    I hope that the commercial sector,
    i.e,{ Company Advertiser’s }
    don’t saturate this paper,as they did in the TradingPost?

    Strange how some people gauge the content of this paper by it’s purchse price??
    Increase the parchase price & sales will go through the roof!
    {Please dont get greedy,like the T.P }
    It’s nice to have a copy handy all the time !!
    Thank You………
