Ready for tears on the Gold Coast

img_3417.jpgNewsagents on the Gold Coast may need to be ready for tears this weekend with another publisher offer.  This time, Gold Coast Titans tattoos are available on presentation of a coupon in Weekend Bulletin.  The article (click on the image for a larger copy) says that tattoos are available with every copy sold in newsagencies.  The big question is whether newsagents will be given enough tattoos for every copy they receive.  The other challenge is handling copies sold in newsagencies versus elsewhere.

this is no different from what the telegraph usually promotes… “free for every reader*”

    Small print “*while stocks last”
isnt that false advertising? if it was free for every reader then stocks always last and should be plentiful?

The first paragraph is fine by me, an excellent traffic generator and we’ve got one for one for the “giveaway”, but they ham it up with the coupon tag in the last paragraph.

We now open the door to abuse from supermarket/servo customers – I won’t be taking the coupons because I don’t have enough for my own loyal customers.

Thankfully having one for one won’t disgruntle my customers, but will annoy other Bulletin readers, who buy for convenience.

The coupon deals seem to hurt someone everytime.

do you really think there would be a mad rush for a gold coast Titan tattoo , you might find that you cannot give them away

We in NSW currently have the NRL footy cards promotion in action. We have ample supply of footy cards but today we had our allocation of Daily Telegraphs cut by 30%. At 8.30am this morning I had to purchase Teles from Woolworths so I had some stock for my regular customers. Why run a promotion then decrease supply.

Open for almost 5 hrs & not one request for the stickers. Depends on the area, I suppose. Ours territory is mainly middle age/elderly so hard to imagine Nan & Pop sporting a new tat. 😆
