Tatts outage

If our experience is anything to go by I’d expect some frustrated Tatts retailers today.  Having terminals down on a $50 million jackpot day is costing sales.  At least we are not the only business affected.

Don’t be ridiculous Helen. Why would they forgo millions of dollars just to sell a paltry amount online? There was word on 3aw that this could be a Telstra issue which would make sense given we run on their lines. There’s been a few business’ around here (non tatts) who said their phone systems were down as well and that was before someone said it was announced on aw so there might be some truth in it.

Great Question Jeff; we lost over $1000 in sales as a result of the outage; who is held accountable?
The exact same thing happened last year if i remember.

I was interstate and missed facing customer disappointment, frustration and anger. While some people will have purchased tickets later is the day, the spur of the moment customers will have been lost this time around.

Was crazy… I was pleased to have two full syndicates to sell for customers (only opening them moments before) sold out in no time. There were also tickets we had on the counter that had been printed earlier in the day. We had a few customers changing there minds about tickets all day today, Why cancel when you can sell them.
I will admit, very disappointed customers, but was great to see regular customers return later on in the day.
