Grand Final replay could be worth over $1,000

Based on sales of the AFL Football Record as well as sales of streamers, balloons and crepe paper, the AFL Grand Final replay this Saturday could be worth over $1,000 in sales to proactive Melbourne based newsagencies.  I say this based on what some stores achieved last week.  Played right, this week should be even better.

For us, any advantages we gained from the above things mentioned was offset by the fact that our shop was a virtual ghost town from about lunch time last Saturday which is generally our busiest time for Tattslotto sales.

It was busy enough in the morning but overall our Tatts sales were down on what they usually are so what we gained on GF related items has eaten well into our other things.

Does anyone know if we were meant to get the GF replay record? I’ve had a few people asking about it this morning that’s all.
