Magazine twins

wdni.JPGEvery couple of years this happens, New Idea and Woman’s Day looking very similar.  The similarity is evident when responding to questions from older customers who cannot find one of the titles. I’m not that concerned, just surprised to see it happen.

    we had to run a line of BHG up between these 2 this morn…the first 10 customers just couldnt work it out…..

    It’s worse when the Sunday Age runs a tabloid front cover. More than 90% of their customers can’t identify their paper in under a minute with it sitting right in front of them. Some even go to leave the shop assuming we’ve sold out!

    This made me laugh when I read it just now. At least four customers today have said they could not fine one of the two titles. Sometimes I feel like I miss too much in my shop. Thanks for the tip Adam.

    Try Take 5 and Thats Life I am sure they have a spy in each others camp when it comes to front covers often both very similar.
