Too much puzzle book stock

aww-puzzlebook.JPGACP has ignored our advice about the temporary downsizing some months ago of our Forest Hill store due to construction and increased supply of The Australian Women’s Weekly Puzzle Book.  The frustration is that their zero tolerance on late payment of monthly accounts is not reciprocated with zero tolerance of supply errors or over supply.  No amount of early warning or clear communication appears to be able to stop mistakes like this being made and costing newsagents. They need a better internal system for handling issues like this.

This title is so frustrating in that you can never find out when the next issue is due until it appears on xchangeit, day before delivery. Not very helpful for customers who are waiting for it

Like many magazine titles there is over supply i have spoken with GG and NDC and asked how it is that they are so quick to distibute more of a title if we might sell out yet the same practice does not apply to oversupply. I asked the question why if our sales history showed average sales of say 5 and our standing order was 5 that we could be distributed 20 there answer oh that couldnt possibly happen or oh just a 1off mistake. I think not. they are paid for ditribution numbers this does not account for our returns this information is given to the publishers who inturn SELL to advertisers based on these false and misleading numbers. Is this not fraudulant!!! i ask the question if you were PAYING a premium $$$ to advertise and you were told that based on distribution numbers there would be print of 10,000 yet it would be safe to say that over 40% were early returned as an advertiser would you be pissed if you found this out. Are we better to approach the advertisers and tell them that they are paying for false numbers!!!!
