MKR the launch of 2011?

mkr.jpgMy Kitchen Rules The Cookbook which goes on sale tomorrow is set to be the launch of 2011 if queries at the counter and pre-orders are anything to go by.  The interest expressed by shoppers is extraordinary.  The most common query is whether we will have enough stock, many promising to be in early tomorrow morning to collect their copy.

Pacific Magazines and the Seven Network have done an excellent job in generating interest prior to the launch.  We have quarantined counter space and shop floor display space to make the most of the opportunity.

All indications are that this will be the launch of 2011.

    Hi Mark,

We tried to get our supply increased on Monday to no avail…

Not only that the wonderful representative at Gotch said the title is not comming out on Friday, could not tell us what our supply was going to be…

We have 30 customers who have asked for putaways – whilst this will be the biggest launch for us, unfortunately Gotch has obviously not communiocated the same to their internal consultants.

We have still not received the stickers fo the title, cannot find on the wen and basically dont know if we are going to get any.

My real concern is that we will end up with egg on our face again…

    Cheers

    Mark,

Just a quick note to say thank-you or getting Jane from Pacific Mags to drop me a line… Hopefully, she can fullfil our requirements.

We finally found we were only down for an allocation of 4 (needed 54…).

Would strongly suggest other Newsagents check their allocatio for tomorrow, as if our example is anything to go buy we will have egg on our face.

    Cheers

a total of 6 copies coming tomorrow . what a great start . They are to busy concentrating on CRAP that does not sell to even bother to get a supply figure right for something that should be a hit . all they had to do was look at masterchef previous sales and they would pretty much get the figure correct with out any problems .
Peter , it should not have to be that Mark has to ring around for us or Jane has to call us .
    Looks like egg tomorrow

We have known about the title long enough to contact Gotch and see what can be done.

just checked and am getting 9 MKR so that should make a great display – NOT.
Once again, we look inefficient when facing
the consumer who knows nothing more than MKR is coming out tomorrow and they want it and they are not interested in
our problems only wanting their own interests fixed – and rightly so.
Why can’t GG check the Masterchef supplies at launch and copy as near as is
possible. Those of us on edi xchangeit should be able to get exactly what we need because GG have our figures on a daily basis.
This sort of inefficiency drives me crazy.
The same inefficiency that is always apparent when part works are launched and a merchandizer comes into my store to “merchandize” 5 copies of something!!!

June, take orders once you sell out. We have been already. Don’t miss a sale. Lemons… lemonade.
