Regardless of where you sit politically, yesterday’s announcement proposes extraordinary environmental, taxation and structural reform. back in the old days we would have seen a bump in newspaper sales. It will be interesting to see if that happens this week.
It may just be a co-incidence, but today is the first day in 7 years that we have sold out of all four daily papers. Carbon Tax? Nah, I think more likely to be just extra people out on a nice day during the school holidays.
Just about everyone I speak to is sick of reading/hearing about it.
