Free Boxing Day sale collateral for newsagents

The creative team at my newsagency software company Tower Systems has produced a couple of posters for newsagents to use in promoting Boxing Day Sales this year.  Click here for the blue poster and here for the red poster.  Have a great sale!

Our plan in my own newsagencies is to stick with tradition and run a box Boxing Day Sale.  We have planned for this and are set to offer some excellent deals.

Hope you all have a great sale. We are closing Boxing day and to hell with Tuesday as well – were closed. They will get their newspapers from the service station if they want one. sales are a disaster. we had ours promoted with leaflets etc and our xmas gifts were reduced. Nobody even noticed. I put the prices back to normal for the alst week and guess what- sold heaps at a better margin. WE ARE A CONVENIENCE STORE AND THE CUSTOMERS ARE BUYING BECAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO GO TO THOSE BUSY BIG SHOPPING CENTRES. oops must have hit the CAPS button. Have a merry Xmas all

The lesson there Wally is that early discounting is counter productive, even if it does increase sales it will generally fail to provide as much profit as sticking to RRP.
Boxing day though, is an opportunity to move stock that will stop us from freshening up our offering for the next seasonal event. Thanks for collateral Mark, this a generouse and helpful sales aid.
While some of us ponder the value of the “Newsagents” brand, I feel we are an “Occassions” store catering for seasonal events and weddings, birthdays, christenings etc, etc. Even newspapers and magazines seem to perform better for “occassions” the Royal wedding being a strong example.
Maybe a clever shingle along these lines is appropriate for some of us.
