Breathtaking snow globe theft

Check out this video of someone walking into the reception area of my newsagency software company earlier this week and stealing two snow globes from our reception desk.  The video is a lesson in the ease with which some people execute theft.  It teaches us something about vigilance.

Untitled from mark fletcher on Vimeo.

They chose their time well as the reception desk was unattended only momentarily.

Stealing snow globes? What’s the world coming to!

Disgusting opportunistic mole. You just can’t trust anyone anymore – and thats a big shame.

We lost 6 ornate stepping stones to theft a couple of weeks ago. Happens every year when we are too busy keep an eye on every one in the shop. Tis the season to be wary, lala lala la la…….

Seasons greetings to all contributors to this blog.

Shaun there are plenty of instances where this can happen for good reason. I’d also suggest that Hawthorn should be a safe place.

I was at the office recently and the location and fact that it is an office not a retails outlet makes this theft extremely unlikely. The fact that it happened shows just how opportunistic theives are.
Years back a customer walked out with an age while i helped a customer at the rear of the shop. We had it recorded and caught up with her a few weeks later when she came in again. I also watched a guy pick up the paper and when he noticed no one was at the counter he tried to walk straight out unaware that I saw him while I tidied stock. Oportunistic thieves everywhere.

OK Mary, my word was too much. But I notice that despite correcting me, you had no actual opinion on this appalling act.

As a small businesses owner with my family, I am outraged when i see any theft because I know how much effort we put in.
