Who is Australia’s oldest newsagent?

Britain’s oldest newsagent, Charlie Reynolds, has been getting plenty of media coverage following a story in The Sun a couple of days ago.  It made me wonder who our oldest newsagent is in Australia.

Back in 209 I wrote about a chap in Pakenham who I thought might be our oldest paper boy. I should have asked at the time if anyone has a nomination for the oldest newsagent.

Mark if you were blogging back in 209, I’d say that would make you the oldest newsagent.

I reckon it would have to be Adrian Mathhews from newsXpress Salamander Bay. I think he left England back in 1927…………
