It’s hard to sell National Geographic when they give it away

A newsagent who sells National Geographic was base aware of a local tourist accommodation venue nearby being given many bundles for giveaway. It’s hard to compete with free.

    Mark, it happens all the time!!
    Hairdressing Salons get ultra-cheap deals for a group of selected ACP titles for their shops for customers to read, but they use them as incentives and give them away to their (our) customers.
    Additionally, a publisher living in our suburb and gives free supplies of his magazine to the local coffee shop – no wonder we can’t sell it!!

    Same as Game Informer magazine… my local EB Games outlet gives them away as part of a club and they send me plenty to sell!! How I’m not sure….. Speaking with the in store staff they are rewarded for signing up new members to the club….. I keep 1 of this title and early return the rest, same with national geo from now on!

    As i have said bofore no respect for us what so ever .Part of the trouble is we take their shit ,time to stand up just like with the chess board or as fhe casket assoc is in Qld

    HI give them a ring , at this time we have been pushed on to more work but no more money .I do think the casket and our assoc as it all ways has ,will address these issues
