Advice for newsagents on handling aspects of T020

Last week I sent a letter to all newsagents (through my newsagency software company) with information on handling some of the data merge and management aspects of T2020.  It’ starts…

HOW NEWSAGENCY SOFTWARE HELPS NEWSAGENTS HANDLE T2020

Tower Systems has been helping newsagents merge distribution businesses for many years. This, and our work with South Australian newsagents through the Migration Project, the forerunner to T2020, has given us experience vital to helping newsagents with T2020.

Just as T2020 is about rationalising newspaper distribution businesses, it is also about driving efficiency at a range of points in the newsagency channel.  We have already acquired the NewsPOS newsagency software business.  Another is in negotiation.

Tower Systems is committed, I am committed, to delivering newsagents software to meet T2020 and other industry standards, providing a technology platform for driving newsagency business efficiency and profitability.

We are also committed to helping retail newsagents navigate change and create more valuable retail businesses.

We serve distribution businesses today delivering in excess of 10,000 newspapers and serving more than 160 sub agents … and have done for many years.

We can and will help newsagents step up to handling scale.

Yes, there are challenges in moving from a business with a few hundred customers to being part of a business with, maybe, 10,000 customers. Good technology is vital.  We have people on our team and customers in our community who will help you face T2020.

Click here to access a copy of the letter.  I wrote it to educate newsagents as well as to counter some mis information about the work involved in merging distribution data.

T2020 is about driving operational efficiency in pursuit of business performance. Investing time to get the optimum performance of delivery runs is time well invested.

I thought this blog IS NOT a forum for selling goods – especially Fletcher’s since he is the blogmaster !!!!!

Emily, I may be wrong but I suspect you are Start Bennie using a fake name. The IP address for this comment and your last as Emily is the same IP address used by Stuart.

This post is not seeking to sell anything. Tower already has more than 60% of newsagents using newsagency software – around 1,800 newsagents. The next company back has somewhere between 600 and 650.

I wrote the post given industry discussions on T2020. If you read the post and letter you’d see that it is primarily an education piece.

Mark, I don’t know a Stewart Bennie but I was curious and checked out blogs on this site and I see he is accused of using it to sell. Ironic and now I see why you mentioned him.

I am writing a letter to Julian Josem, Managing Director & Principal Consultant http://www.josem.com.au/our_people.php regarding Mr Bennies impersonation of someone else on the Australian Newsagency Blog and his constant disruption. This is a guy who is a former Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director and should know better.

I will also explain that their is proof that Mr Bennie and Emily Voetsak are one in the same.

I will ask Mr Josem to ask Mr Bennie to Desist, If any more interference is forthcoming I shall publish the proof and refer this matter to the police.

This is Marks blog. As a fellow newsagent who regularly posts comments I know quite well what Marks commercial interests are. It doesn’t bother me at all if they are mentioned. The fact is that I have somewhere to express ideas and opinions to others who also have a common interest. And that is worth far more to me than getting hot and bothered about the occasional anecdotal reference to businesses affiliated with the bloke who promotes the blog. Anyway my opinion this time is that Stuart Bennie is a bottomfeeder and I am quite happy that he copped a pizzling from the forward thinking and pro active newsagents out there.

‘Emily’ given that the only use of the IP address from which you have posted your comments is a comment from Stuart Bennie, I am confident that you are him or someone doing his begging.
