Nice gift with AWW

Woolworths stores have an excellent gift with which to promote the latest issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly – $12 worth of L’Occitaine Shea Butter. This is a perfect gift for the target AWW shopper.

While I understand publishers cycle promotions through the channels, it is frustrating to see a big point of difference as with the current issue of AWW.

Newsagents in major shopping centres with Woolworths nearby lose out. Indeed, the gift was drawn to my attention on the weekend by a regular shopper.

Happens all the time, last month it was Coles that had a good freebie with the aww.

I see they also offer showbags with magazine purchases. makes it very hard to compete against.

Almost as bad as the freebies/rewards subscribers get with partworks.

Sure its Woolies only? My AWW’s came with the L’Occitane tip on and I’m certainly not a supermarket. It is selling well though.

The sign says only at Woolworths.

Perhaps another example of inaccurate and misleading advertising be a major retailer?
More likely a stock picking stuff up,either way I’m happy.

I prefer no gifts as they are to difficult to display take up more space and I dont think sell any extra mags. The public take little notice of them as there are so many giveaways. Certainly FREEBIES in the past have not noticeably lifted sales in my store. Content and Front page sells

Sometimes it works and others no notice at all eg the latest dolly I sold double of what I would normally sell
