Four gluten free cookbooks fail to sell

Gotch sent us these four gluten free cookbooks in January. They all failed to sell. What is frustrating that we were sent some of the titles twice. even more frustrating is that Gotch has not sent us some titles that could sell. How they work out what we should and should not get is beyond me – clearly it is not based on data they should have about what would work for us. It feels like some scale out decisions are based purely on moving stock from a warehouse to another location – even if temporarily.

This is what we need the ACCC to look at. They oversaw the deregulation that left us with a magazine distribution model that makes newsagents less competitive.

It is interesting isn’t it. The Diabetes titles have slowed too, perhaps now the public education is at a higher level.
I notice that the Food and excercise diary title ( is it Robert Boruschek or similar, sorry I am at home, can’t go to the shelf to check the title) is a constant seller, in my town dieticians recommend it and I make sure I always have stock and my staff know what to recommend.

I was so excited today because G&G have sent me 2 new new titles from Bromleigh House “The Big Wordsearch Collection #1” and “The Big Sudoku Collection # 1”. This is exciting because as every Newsagent knows you can never have enough puzzle magazines. My only problem is no room to display them in the stands so I’m obviously going to have to glue them to the roof of the shop.
