I echo Pauls comments Mark, Thankyou. Its information like this that allows us Retailers to compare our own sales situations.
My Mag sales are also in decline and I have been working my butt off to arrest this. To find out that it is a wide spread problem makes me breathe a little easier, I`m still going to work hard on Mag sales but it is nice to know that it`s not just my sales that are down. Most of my other departments all show growth so here I have been wondering what the hell I`ve been doing wrong with Mags. Thanks again for the info Mark.

    Cheers

We have been trying to increase OK over the last 2 -3 months as we, as well as our subagent have been selling out each week. We have only returned 2 in that period but the allocation goes up a couple and has now for the last month gone down each week. Have used Net online twice to increase and my wife has rung them and there is a “don’t care” attitude in there response. We want to try and grow sales but are frustrated that they increase magazines that don’t sell, but when we have a magazine constantly selling out they decrease it.

all depend on the government PAY days , wether it be pension or the other payments they hand out , for us it is every second Thursday we will do really well and this throws supplys all over the4 place same thing as allan said one week sell out next week send a heap back ,this would be a major factor with all the talk about going firm sale . For this reason alone I would think firm sale would be no good
