Vogue Australia gift failure

voguedamageHere’s how Vogue Australia looks after a couple of days on display. The bag holding the magazine rips easily. I have seen this in several stores. While you can still see the cover, the package looks damaged. Makes me wonder: will it hurt sales?

Publishers need to do better.

Yes, it does hurt sales and this time I took the product out and have it at the counter so that I have flat stacks which look much nicer in the shop.
Marie Claire had sunglasses this month too but you couldn’t take them out without damaging the magazine so I’ve left them on and they look terrible.
Who does the research on this stuff? I’ve never been asked by anyone in 40 years whether or not it is effective.
This Xmas I have put all the kids small mags with rubbish on the front in a red
xmas outpost box and they have sold well as stocking fillers but they don’t fit in our shelves and we are forced to early return them a lot of the time
