Tatts marketing to the birds

Spotted at Brisbane airport, a plane promoting Tatts’ Powerball.

Maybe they are hoping it works better than the DigiPOS screens. I never picked birds as gamblers though.

WTF?……Tatts has officially become “birdbrained”……what was the cost of this and what did the “shareholder” gain? I hope the person responsible for this marketing sleeps well tonight……..#whatacompletewasteofgoodmoney

    An odd marketing ploy ?
Perhaps, but I bet it generates a good bit of media coverage. It’s certainly a costly exercise and a little more than a couple of logos on the side.
You can guarantee Tatts will be doing press releases to make sure the world knows about it.
I wonder how close, or far of the mark I am………..
Who’s plane is it, Virgins ?

Lance, does a $25 million jackpot deserve this kind of marketing spend? Given that the draw is tomorrow night, what sort of good media has it attracted?……1st I’ve seen it…..anybody else see this anywhere in the media in last 5 days?

Fair enough comment Allan, I’d not seen it before either.
Perhaps it’s a long term thing with that smallish $25million banner to be replaced periodically with the next/latest promotion.

Lance, how good would it be if Tatts spent that money on “agents” incentives? Give me a chance to win some cash in some sort of sales incentive and I’d be all over it…..now that would lift sales across the board…..but what do I know……I’m just a Tatts “agent”….better leave the ideas to the marketing gurus…..

The plane belonged to Alliance Airlines.

They are obviously making too much money off of our new fitouts.

That is a million dollar plus paint job if it were real which I don’t think it is (cockpit windows are covered, control surface areas that can’t be covered are). It’s either a vinyl covering of a static old aircraft or a good photoshop I’m guessing.

Paul is right. Hard to say for sure, but I reckon its an old DC9 or if that “bump” just before the fin is an intake, its a 727. Alliance airlines? Most likely a bit of Ansett junk.

You’ll start seeing it in ad’s. Its not painted it”s gift wrapped with a bow. Probably just been filmed several times over with the gift tag which say’s $25M being changed to reflect the different powerball jackpot amount’s.
That planes not flying any ware like that but some ad exec with too many A’s in their name is feeling pretty chuffed with themselves.
