Tatts wants newsagents to go to a roadshow about the future

If I had Tatts in my business, before committing valuable time to this I’d want to know if there will be commercial upside for me and my business. The invite talks about positioning their business for the future. If I was a Tatts shareholder I’d want that to be about online (mobile) above all else.

Worth going just to ask “sticky” questions…. 🙂

Kerrilyn I’m going for the same reason; however, every event I’ve attended over the years – even before Tatts – they have not accepted questions from the floor suggesting we speak to reps individually after the meeting. What does that tell us about control of the narrative?

I suspect no questions unless it is about their presentation. = a waste of time. Has this company not heard of modern technology?

Tatts are losing the respect of its network of Agents. Just recently I have been speaking to other agents who have told me that they no longer “work hard” at the Tatts product. These agents are among the biggest sellers of lotto products in their respective areas. Once upon a time they were keen to maintain their status as top operators but now they feel they are neither respected nor wanted. They are now focused on other areas of their shops, areas they can control, areas where there is more margin, areas where they ARE actually RETAILERS. Tatts need to make repairing the relationship with agents as their number 1 priority, that would be a wise move but I feel that horse may have already thrown the jockey. I understand that Tatts need an online presence and we agents need to realize that too but the retail network is still a very large part of their business and to not support it is fraught with danger. How about rewarding good retailers and focus on improving the bad ones? How about some agent incentives to drive sales?

    Ha…..what do I know…….

Newsagents concerned about Tatts and with what they think is a case should bring the company to account in a forum such as QCAT or VCAT.
