I think this is a fun idea. For some years now I have been sending people two or three different birthday cards. Where is it written that you should only send someone one birthday card? Same applies for Mother’s Day. The people who have received multiple cards from me on their birthday think it’s a really fun thing. Perhaps newsagents could lead the way in promoting more of this?

The thing is, for seasons the 3 for 2 offer has caught on with two fast-grouping card outlets offering it over successive years. We are not our customers.

I get the idea behind it. Whether it’s a success or not would be interesting to find out. I do have quite a few customers that don’t buy cards for immediate use and are buying for future occasions that may be months away yet but see a card/s they particularly like. Some of these purchases can be near or over the $100 mark which is great.
