In Townsville yesterday I am pleased I got to see Ruth magazine. This is a terrific special interest title, focussed for locals in Queensland. It is the sort of magazine you want to see in a newsagency as would struggle to find it in any other retail outlet selling magazines.
Special interest magazines are important to our businesses.
Would be interested to know if the outlet is a newsagency and if yes how does it arrive at the store. I see evidence in SA that there are indie publishers not using the newsagency channel. Certainly there are mags never offered to our shop.
This was in a newsagency in Townsville. My understanding is it came through usual channels.
Yep, comes through Gotch and we stock it it suburban Brisbane. Sells very well generally.
We were getting it in regional Central Queensland.
I believe all our local CWA ladies now get it via subscription though 🙁
