I can safely say that this hasn’t happened here, we are fairly lucky in that aspect.
Although I wouldn’t put it past some of the people who seem to only pop out of the wood work for these.

Yet another reason why I refuse to do these.
It was funny when a woman who I’ve never seen before came in with a wad of the tokens and got stroppy when I explained to her that I did not participate in News Corp promotions. She then came out with “well you should be looking after your customers !” and after explaining the reason why was because of the extremely poor financial return, that all of my regular customers new this and agreed with my reasoning behind it and that the promo really only benefits Newscorp left saying she was going to have to go back to the newsagent she bought the papers from !
I’m still surprised that newsagents really believe these promos benefit them in any way or form.
