Magazine distributor IPS

I have heard from several newsagents in recent weeks of issues with IPS an, in particular, data. My understanding is that IPS has been no help in resolving the matters. I have posted this, here, so people may comment about their experiences with IPS.

Not aware of any new issues with IPS . Over supplies, unwanted products and delayed returns enough to cope with.

Who would fear IPS? What can they do to you? Even if they cut you off, which I think would be illegal and spiteful, so what you lose access to a handful of middling magazine titles and cease dealing with a horrible company which refuses to abide by its own trading terms. Happy days.

The cost of posting back returns and the lottery of their returns audit process is my IPS bugbear. I now photograph all returns before posting.
But given XChangeIT sale and return data, why do we need to return anything? If G&G can do analysis and allow zero physical returns, why can’t a smaller, nimble operation like IPS??

I stopped dealing with IPS when they gave one of my customers my personal information.

They were able to tell me a lot of things which weren’t known to the public even down to the legal trading name of our outlet. (we are T/A xxxxxx)
